Library sync

Updated September 25, 2026

Pod Monster stores your shows and playback positions on its server so you can resume on another device. No sign-in or password is required.

What a library is

A library holds the shows you follow, your playback positions, and your sort order. Pod Monster creates it when you first open the app. No name or email address is attached to it. Settings identifies it only by its Library ID.

Devices on one Apple Account

When you install Pod Monster on another device signed in to the same Apple Account, that device offers to join your existing library. If you accept, both devices share your shows and playback positions. If you decline, the new device starts its own library.

The library code

You can view a library code in Settings. Anyone with the code can add a device to your library from any Apple Account. Share it only with someone you trust to read and change your shows. You can see every device on the library in Settings.

Leaving a library

A device can leave a library at any time from Settings. Leaving removes only that device; other devices keep using the library. A device that joined with a code can leave, but it cannot delete a library it did not start.

Deleting a library

A host device, meaning the device that started the library, can delete it from Settings. Deleting the library removes the shows, playback positions, and device list for every device. The app then creates a new empty library under a new Library ID.

If you no longer have a device that can open the library, email [email protected] and quote the Library ID.

How long an old library is kept

When the last device leaves a library, Pod Monster keeps it for 90 days. During that time you can rejoin with a code you saved. After 90 days, Pod Monster deletes the library, including its shows and playback positions.

Removing the app does not remove the device

Deleting Pod Monster from a device does not remove that device from the library. Its identifier survives a reinstall. Leave the library in Settings before removing the app if you want the device removed.
