Changelog
Updated October 15, 2026
This page records the notable changes to podmonster.app and to the pages that explain how Pod Monster works, including the privacy policy and the terms of use. The newest entry is at the top, and every page also carries its own updated date.
October 15, 2026
The boosts page and the privacy policy now say that a boost you send during a livestream names the broadcast in place of the episode and carries no position. Nothing else about the record, who receives it, or how long it is kept has changed.
October 7, 2026
A new boosts page explains how to send a boost from your own Lightning wallet, why to set a budget, and where the sats go. The privacy policy gains rows for the boost record, the wallet requests, invoice requests, the lookups that find the recipients of a boost, and funding links, and it names the wallets, relays, payment hosts, and funding services that receive data. Its chapter request row now says that a rate-limit log line keeps a keyed hash of the Device ID and of the IP address. The terms of use now say that Apple handles only the app and purchases made through Apple, not a donation or a boost, and they gain a boosts section. The support page gains answers for boosts and donations. The boosts page, the privacy policy, the terms of use, and the support page also say how the app can pay a failed keysend payment by invoice. The privacy policy names Google as the holder of support email, with no forwarded copy.
September 28, 2026
The privacy policy now gives its data inventory as one table, and it states that the site and the app do not respond to a Do Not Track signal. The waitlist row now says that Pod Monster uses an address to invite you to TestFlight, so Apple receives it. The table gains a row for the Cloudflare Turnstile check, and the transfer section names Cloudflare. A request for a copy, a correction, or a portable copy of a library follows the same 30-day rule as deletion by email. The "Who we are" section now says that one person builds Pod Monster, and it defines "we" as Pod Monster LLC. The rest of the copy is shorter, with no other change to the data, its recipients, or its retention periods.
September 25, 2026
The terms of use, the support page, and the library sync page were shortened. No fact on them changed.
September 23, 2026
The privacy policy now explains that Pod Monster is deferring availability in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom until after the initial alpha test round. It also corrects the stated retention period for Sentry app and server events from 90 days to 30 days. The terms now give email and postal options for copyright complaints and list the information to include.
September 12, 2026
Pod Monster published the privacy policy, the terms of use, the support page, and the library sync help page. These are the first versions of all four pages.
